Amped to Dance
Biography
Owner and creative director at Amped to Dance Dana Marie Randolph said the most important thing she’s learned when it comes to business is persistence.
“Never give up,” she said. “Even when enrollment is low and quotas are missed as long as I keep believing and working towards the vision everything will work out.
“I can’t give up because there is no plan B,” Randolph added. “I must continue to put everything I have in making the dream I have a reality.”
Amped to Dance opened in Maple Shade in July of this year.
“I’ve been professionally training in various styles of dance since the age four,” Randolph said. “After years of teaching at community centers in Philadelphia my passion for music, movement, and teaching collided together as the vision of helping people express themselves through dance came to life.”
So, what’s unique about her business?
“Amped to Dance is the dance studio where passion meets movement,” Randolph said. “We pride ourselves on fostering self-confidence and creativity through dance in each and every person we encounter.
“Amped to Dance is more than a business, even more than a dance school,” she added. “We are a place that encourages self-expression, healing, and love through creative arts.”
Randolph said she would recommend Maple Shade to someone looking to open a business here “because the town is very welcoming.” Also, she said It was a fairly simple process to get started.
She said it has been pleasant being a member of the Maple Shade Business Association.
“I am a member of MSBA because I’d like to learn and grow as a business owner in this town,” Randolph said. “I want to ensure the success of my business and what better way to be a part of a community of like-minded people.
“There are also so many qualities that I possess that may meet the needs of my fellow business owners,” she added.
Randolph grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from Temple University with a BA in communications and Lincoln University with a MEd degree.
She said she and her family have lived in Maple Shade since May 2019.
In her spare time, Randolph enjoys spending quality, “silly” time with her family, exploring new restaurants, reading, and writing.

Jeff Chudoff, co-owner with his wife Kim of FastSigns of Maple Shade, says he’s learned the value of relationships and networking.
“Nothing beats a personal referral from a mutual contact,” he said. “It’s truly invaluable.”
Jeff’s business has been around for more than 35 years, with more than 30 years being located in Maple Shade.
So, how did he come to work in his field?
When Jeff graduated from the University of Miami he went to work at 3M, where he says he learned everything there was to know about window tint.
“So my first shop was a ‘tint shop,’” he said.
“As a young guy, I was getting paid to play with cool cars and trucks all day,” Jeff added. “I was living the dream.
“One day a guy asked me if I could cut letters for his I-Rock Z,” he continued “That’s how I got into lettering vehicles and before long I was making signs and the rest is history!”
Jeff said his business thrives on uniqueness.
“Every job is a new experience,” he said. “I learn something new every single day and the advancements to equipment and materials allows us to be more creative than ever before.”
Jeff said he would “absolutely” recommend Maple Shade to someone looking to open a business there.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with so many business owners in and around our town,” he said. “I believe we do a fantastic job of supporting one another and that’s a great feeling!”
Jeff also gives high marks to the Maple Shade Business Association.
“I’ve been a member of the MSBA for a long time and I really enjoy the monthly breakfast meetings,” he said. “It’s a great opportunity to socialize with members I might not otherwise cross paths with.”
Jeff said the greatest challenge the Maple Shade Business Association faces is member engagement.
“When I look through the list of MSBA members I’m shocked at how many faces we never see at events or meetings,” he said. “The association is only as strong as its members.
“With greater participation we could grow and do even more to help our community,” Jeff added.
A native of Cinnaminson, Jeff graduated from Cinnaminson High School.
He and Kim live in Marlton with their dog. They’ve lived there for 12 years and raised their four boys there as well.
Jeff said he really enjoys going to car shows and spends a lot of his spare time helping his brother with his used car business.
“When I’m not doing that, I’m either with my wife or my kids,” he said.
