VCA Maple Shade, Business Manager:
For Amanda Pierce, it’s all about relationships.
“Whether it is with our clients, patients or team members, I love having that relationship and watching it grow,” the hospital manager at VCA Maple Shade Animal Hospital said.
Pierce, who has been employed at the animal hospital for 16 years (it’s been in operation for 35 years), said she decided on her career in part to be supportive.
“I wanted to help the people and their pets by helping to educate clients on choosing best medicine and lifestyle for their furry family member,” Pierce said. “I also want to create an empowering and fun place for my team to work.”
She said what is unique about the hospital is the way people and animals are treated when they walk (or fly, hop, or slither) in the door.
“The pet’s health is our top priority and excellent customer service is our goal,” Pierce said. “Every team member genuinely cares about our clients and patients as if they are family.”
She said she would recommend Maple Shade to someone looking to open a business here.
“It’s a nice town with friendly people,” Pierce said.
She noted she is a member of the Maple Shade Business Association because “it is important to support local businesses,” adding that the greatest challenge to Maple Shade businesses is online shopping.
A native of Bayville, N.J. (“I love the beach, it is in my soul!”), Pierce graduated from Central Regional High School and, later, Ocean County College.
A Medford resident for nine years, she spends her spare time spending time with her family, seeing Broadway shows, going to the beach, vacationing, reading, learning history, crafting, going to the movies, and interior decorating.
